World Scrabble Championship

Before 2005, Adam Logan had competed in the World Scrabble Championship on several occasions. His highest finish was 4th place, along with an 8th place and 10th place finish.

In 2005, Adam Logan finished the tournament with a 23-4 record and a +1613 margin. In the finals of the World Scrabble Championship, Logan defeated Pakorn Nemitrmansuk of the vaunted team from Thailand in an easy 3-0 match.

Adam Logan's win is especially remarkable, because Pakorn Nemitrmansuk also made the finals of the 2003 World Scrabble Championsip, on that occasion losing 3-2 to his countryman, Panupol Sujjayakorn.

In the most recent World Scrabble Championship, held in Mumbai, India in 2007, Adam Logan failed to defend his title. Logan finished 25th out of 104 SCRABBLE contestants.

The Canadian Scrabble Championship

Adam Logan has won the Canadian Scrabble Championship on two occasions. His first victory came in 1996. Logan finished the 1st out of 40 players with a 17-5 record and a +1478 margin.

Adam Logan was the 2005 Canadian National Champion with an 18-4 record and a huge +2069 margin. In the 2000 Canadian Scrabble Championship, Adam Logan finished 2nd out of 50 players with a 13-7 record in the tournament.

The National Scrabble Championship

Adam Logan also has won the top Scrabble tournament in the United States, the National Scrabble Championship. Logan finished 1st of 108 players, compiling a 24-3 record. This completed a sweep of both major North American Scrabble titles in 1996, cementing Adam Logan as the #1 rated player in North America for 1996.

Adam Logan lives in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Since his first competitive Scrabble match in 1985, Adam Logan has a 66% career win percentage and an average score of 415-375. Adam is currently the #1 ranked player in North America.

Adam Logan has a PhD in mathematics from Harvard University with a bachelors from Princeton University. Currently, Adam Logan is studying elliptical curves and algebraic number theory in Waterloo. Adam Logan has twice been a Putnam Fellow, winning the distinction in 1992 and 1993.
